Hey my name is Anil Karim, I am the Director here at Memorial Montessori.  If you are a parent of a child already attending our school you probably already know me.  I created this blog for everyone to ask questions, express their thoughts and emotions, and also get a feeling of our small community.  Whether your child is already attending our school or not, this blog is created for everyone to express themselves and get a better feeling for our program and upcoming events.  I'll be checking this blog daily so please feel free to ask questions and I'll try to get back at them as soon as possible.

What makes  MMS so different?

The MMS Classrooms are designed to  be child-sized where we helpchildren develop a  respect for one's self and others. The room is orderly and filled with enriching  materials for the child to explore. A multi-sensory environment invites the child  to a world of discovery! Activities in self-help skills, sensorial experience   and   are   also certified. Each teacher maintain doily records and are well trained observers.   Parents have direct access to their child's  classroom and are in constant contact with their teachers.

Our curriculum is an approach to working with children that is  carefully  based on  what
we've learned about children's cognitive, neurological and emotional development from several decodes of research. Although sometimes misunderstood, the Montessori approach has been acclaimed as the most developmentally appropriate model currently available by some of America's top experts on early childhood and elementary education. One important difference between what Montessori offers the  five-year-old  and  what is offered by many of today's kindergarten programs has to do with how it helps the young child to learn how to learn.

Teachers

All our teachers come with years of Montessori experience   and   are   also   certified. Each teacher maintain doily records and are well trained observers.   Parents have direct access to their child's  classroom and are in constant contact with their teachers.

Bridging the  Gap Between Home & School

Parents and  family members are encouraged to  share  their  experiences in the classroom and contribute at school activities. We provide on online community that helps facilitate personalized  communication with  the school, enhancing the overall  MMS  experience  for our families.
